1. Select ExpressJet Airlines Inc. in the airline list. Its flights come almost entirely from Newark, and the histogram's tail grows: its mean delay is more than twice the month's.
2. Clear it and select Delta Air Lines Inc. Its tail is short, and the median drops below zero.
3. In the flow chart, select LGA to see which airlines carry LaGuardia's traffic, then compare the pivot's medians.

Limits

An airline's delay depends on where and when it flies. ExpressJet runs short regional hops out of Newark at busy hours; part of its number belongs to the airport and the schedule, not the airline.
